Set on the beautiful and famous beach Plage de Pampelonne in Ramatuelle, Le Club 55 is arguably one of the most famous of all the St Tropez beach clubs. And oldest, welcoming visitors since 1955.

At Club 55 you can either have a seat in the shabby-chic restaurant or in sun loungers right on the beach. You will not be alone, and you will most likely not be the most famous guest either. Club 55 has been (and still is) famous for hosting some of the biggest names in Hollywood. So a perfect spot for people watching.

Vibrant, lively and with a trendy crowd, Club 55 is still friendly and honour their philosophy since its creation in 1955: “The customer is not king here…because he is a friend”.

The restaurant serves rustic dishes with Mediterranean flavours. Lots of fresh vegetables, seafood and delicacies from the grill. And while here, it is almost mandatory to try some of the Club 55’s own wine.

Quite pricey, as you would expect, but with a lovely and vibrant atmosphere (often highlighted by live bands) and a great and friendly service, Club 55 is close to a ‘must-visit’. Come for a long and fun lunch or some relaxing cocktails under the palm trees. Just remember to make reservations.

NIKKI BEACH SAINT-TROPEZ

Located just off Pampelonne Beach, Nikki Beach Saint Tropez has been the go-to spot for the international jet-set and global celebrities since opening in 2002. Open daily from mid-April to mid-September, this is the place for mixing world-class DJs with fresh food and tropical settings.

While not right on the beach, a dip in the ocean is within walking distance from the beach club. And you do not have to walk that far to get wet, as there is a large swimming pool right by the beach club bar.

Bright, luxurious and modern in decoration, the wooden decked Nikki Beach Saint-Tropez comes with oversized plush daybeds and lots of comfy dining spots, right under the palm trees.

The restaurant serves a wide variety of global and fresh food, from healthful salads and innovative sushi rolls to grilled dishes and kebabs. From the bar you can order some of the best champagnes (preferably by the bottle), along with crafted, home-made cocktails.

Nikki Beach Saint Tropez is a very popular spot, so expect a both large and vibrant crowd. And some of the world’s top DJs keeping the atmosphere on top both day and night. Reservations are recommended but not mandatory.

Pearl Beach Saint-tropez

Located on the Beach de la Bouillabaisse, the Pearl Beach is a beach club and restaurant offering some of the best views around, over the bay of Sainte-Maxime. Especially around sunset, when a table by the ocean really is ‘the place to be’.

While there is indoor seating, the top spot is the al fresco terrace, with the look and feel of a Balinese garden. Surrounded by lots of grenery and decorated with natural wood, this is a true Saint Tropez gem.

In a relaxing, yet fun and vibrant atmosphere, the Pearl Beach restaurant offers a mix of exotic flavours and more classic Mediterranean food. Available as both lunch and dinner, the menu is rather slim, but the dishes are made to perfection.

So visit for a sunny lunch, a both romantic and fun dinner, or come enjoy perfectly crafted cocktails anytime in between. All presented with an excellent service and to the soothing sound of the ocean waves.

Looking for something even more soothing? Then you should also check out the Pearl Beach spa, offering different treatments and meditation classes right on the beach.

Club Les Palmiers

Located on Plage de Pampelone, Club Les Palmiers is one of the most chill beach clubs available in St Tropez. And not only a beach club, it is also a shop, shisha bar, cocktail bar and restaurant.

Run by charismatic St Tropez couple Mimi and Stephanie, this cosy, stylish and luxurious beach spot is the place for both pure relaxation and trendy vibes.

Large and white beach beds are available for full day hire, starting at €45 for a sun lounger and €200 for a canopy for two (add some more for towels and umbrellas). Then you can enjoy service of food and drinks right to your spot.

Or you head to the restaurant, where you can order fresh “home cooking” inspired by the real mediterranean cuisine. Including special pastas, like spaghetti vongole and spaghetti puttanesca.

The cocktail bar serves well-made signature cocktails, a large selection of wines and champagne, along with more healthy stuff, like freshly squeezed fruit juices. In the shisha bar you can get tobacco of the highest quality with an authentic flavour.

All in all, Club Les Palmiers offers more than enough to keep you happy for a full day. Early hours are extra relaxing, later on the vibe gets more buzzing with live DJs.

Tahiti Beach Club

Belonging to Tahiti Beach Hotel, but the Tahiti Beach Club is open to all, hotel guest or not. Occupying its own private part of the bautiful beach of Pampelonne, you can visit for a few hours of tranquil relaxation or all-day fun.

Easy to spot with its orange sun loungers and umbrellas, Tahiti Beach Club is a classic spot that has been around since 1952. And it still attracts a large and trendy crowd, including celebreties. So expect a vibrant atmosphere.

You can reach the beach club by foot, by car, boat (shuttle service available) and even by helicopter.

Apart from fine white sand and crystal clear water, Tahiti Beach also has a gourmet restaurant, two bars, a pizzeria and offers direct access to different shops. The open-air restaurant offers both local and international dishes, and from the bar you can get pretty much any drink you would like.

Tahiti Beach Club is also famous for turning up the atmosphere with different live entertainment, from music to swimwear fashion shows. Everything is possible in this luxurious and tropical paradise.

Le Bagatelle Beach Club

Le Bagatelle is a luxurious Pampelonne beach club and restaurant. After sucess at several other places around the world, the founders Aymeric Clemente and Remi Laba has transferred their Bagatelle concept to Pampelonne beach.

The stylish and chic white and blue decoration blends in perfectly with the neighboring Mediterranean Sea. Grab a spot either in the large sofas at the restaurant or in some of the comfy sun loungers right on the beach.

In a festive, sophisticated and trendy atmosphere you can enjoy classic Mediterranean food, created by Executive Chef Nicolas Cantrel. Complemented with well made cocktails and (of course) as many bottles of rosé or champagne as you would like.

With great service and excellent music, Le Bagatelle Beach Club is a very popular spot, so reservations are highly recommended. Note that these can only be made by phone.

The perfect spot for both a luxurious and relaxing day on the beach, as well as a vibrant, long and fun lunch with a group of friends.

The small, luxurious and fantastic beach club on the island of Capri. Enjoy amazing views, top-class cliffside lounging, or a lovely Italian lunch.

A bit hard to reach, but when you do, you are rewarded with one of Italy’s most beautiful beach clubs. La Fontelina is an exclusive and luxurious seaside paradise situated opposite Capri’s Faraglioni. To get here by foot, you have to walk down a path (about 300 meters), starting next to the Tragara viewing point. If you don’t wish to climb up again, there is a beach club shuttle boat taking you to Marina Piccola.

Cliffs are combined with patches of beach at this naturally beautiful location, serving up some of the most amazing views over the ocean and the Capri coastline. Relax in the sun in one of the blue and white lounge chairs and cool off by taking the ladders leading down the sea. When hunger hits, the Fontelina restaurant serves fantastic seafood and pasta as lunch, accompanied by a great selection of wines and the legendary iced sangria.

Beautiful cliff terrace with sun loungers and direct access to the ocean, complemented with a small and lovely pebble beach—all in a fantastic and natural setting.

Set on a cliff terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea, Beach Club Conca del Sogno is the perfect spot for some high-quality daytime peace and privacy. Located beautifully in the small village of Nerano, you can either arrive by a narrow road or by boat. Relax in a sunbed on the terrace, from which you can also get into the water conveniently by using the stairs, or grab a spot on the lovely, small pebbly beach. You can enjoy light lunches and refreshing, fruity cocktails from the bar.

Come sunset, and the bar and restaurant at Conca del Sogno turn into a vibrant and romantic setting right by the ocean. Indulge in traditional, fresh and local delicacies from both land and sea, or enjoy cocktails to the DJ beats of lounge/boss to deep house. Reservations are recommended.

4. Bagni D’arienzo Beach Club

Retro-all-orange sun beds and umbrellas mixed with a great location and fantastic cuisine and cocktails. What else do you need for a perfect beach day?

Known for its incredible location, cuisine and cocktails, Bagni d’Arienzo Beach Club Bar & Restaurant is also easy to spot (and easy to remember) thanks to the retro-all-orange sun beds and umbrellas. However, to spot them you have to get pretty close, as it is beautifully nestled between the cliffs on the beach of Arienzo in Positano.

The easy way to get to the beach club is by the shuttle boat available from the main pier in Positano, from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm, and from 3.45 pm until late afternoon. It takes about 10 minutes and is free if you have made reservations (which you should). Another, more adventurous option, is to walk about 300 stairs down to the beach.

Apart from orange sun beds, Bagni d’Arienzo Beach Club also offers a spectacular setting with fantastic views of the ocean, Li Galli Island, Positano houses and the surroundings. In the restaurant, you can enjoy the tastes of Positano and Amalfi Coast, ranging from delicious pasta to fresh seafood.

5. Da Adolfo

Beautifully set on Laurito Beach (next to Treville Beach Club, Da Adolfo itself might not look like the most stylish place around. But the shack-like building and complementing sun loungers come with a large pinch of chaotic charm, casual vibes and history. Founded already back in 1966 by Adolfo “Pinkerton” Bella, it has been a highly popular spot ever since.

With a fantastic waterfront setting, Da Adolfo is a great spot for a full day by the beach or just a fantastic lunch. The food served is homestyle Neapolitan, ranging from fresh grilled fish to mussel soup and lots of pasta. Enjoyed best with one or two glasses of local wine.
